Dr. Saba Asrar

Dr. Asrar has been practicing orthodontics since 2007 and is one of only a few orthodontists in the country chosen to be a part of the Advisory Board of the Council of Innovative Orthodontics for 3M (Solventa). Dr. Asrar graduated at the top of her class in dental school and received multiple honors. She’s incredibly passionate about helping her patients achieve straighter, healthier smiles with as little discomfort and inconvenience as possible. Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Before pursuing her passion in orthodontics, Dr. Asrar completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in New York.

Following her advanced general dentistry residency program, Dr. Asrar completed her specialization in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas after graduating at the top of her dental school class and receiving several awards, including the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon award, a national dental honor society award to distinguish dental students with outstanding academic excellence, and a great character award from Howard University, Washington DC. She is also one of the few orthodontists in the US who has been chosen to be part of the Advisory board of the Council of Innovative Orthodontics for 3M.

She believes in lifelong learning and stays up to date with the latest orthodontic innovations, techniques and technology by attending continuing education courses and additional training, like the Invisalign Orthodontic Masters Program. She’s also an active member of the following professional organizations:

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • Southwestern Society of Orthodontists
  • Texas Dental Association
  • Orthotown
  • Women in Orthodontics Study Club
  • The Digital Orthodontist

Besides providing the best care and treatment results, Dr. Asrar offers a variety of treatments, including clear aligners (Invisalign), braces, nightguards, sleep apnea devices, and retainers. She also offers teeth whitening to enhance your smile’s appearance both during and after your orthodontic treatment.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

In her free time, Dr. Asrar likes to spend time with her husband and her two boys doing fun things together like barbecuing and going out to eat or to the movies. She also enjoys socializing with several friends in town, but her husband is her best friend, and they enjoy doing a lot of activities together, like watching comedy shows, movies, cooking, going to the gym and trying out different restaurants.
