- Protecting your aligners by keeping them in a case. Losing or damaging one or both of your trays can cause a setback in your treatment. If you want to avoid a delay, place them in a protective case instead of in a napkin or in your purse. This will keep them safe instead of accidentally being thrown away, sat on, or lost.
